In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference.
An ideal way to get fit,
to rehabilitate after an injury,
or to improve your health and
general physical condition.
Pilates is suitable for all ages and profiles
…young or mature, sporty or looking to get into or get back to a sporting activity. The objective of Joseph Pilates, inventor of the eponymous method, was to restore to practitioners their natural mobility and to help them throughout their lives, perform in comfort the gestures of everyday life, and so to remain flexible and strong, with good posture and a body in harmony.
We can accomodate all profiles: beginners, athletes, seniors, teenagers, pregnant women, people with particular physical needs or restrictions, and simply those who seek fitness and well-being.
Athletic
If you are very athletic and want to improve muscle strength, develop your flexibility, prepare for a sporting event, re-balance disharmonies due to the intensive practice of a sport (for example, tennis players and golfers tend to develop and shrink the muscles on one side of the body, and to underdevelop and loosen the muscles on the opposite side), then Pilates may be right for you. Your teacher can direct you to specific exercises and help you achieve your sporting goals. Many high-level athletes practice Pilates to address their needs or to assist in recovery after an injury.
Seniors
Pilates is an excellent discipline for the mature client, who wants to exercise gently in a calm environment. A teacher will be at your disposal to understand your needs and constraints, and to guide you in exercises with the goal of developing your strength and flexibility. Pilates for seniors is best enjoyed in individual classes or small groups.
Pregnant Women
Pilates may be a good option for pregnant women seeking physical activity during pregnancy that is tailored to their needs and condition. Our teachers are trained in pre- and post-natal Pilates. Talk to your doctor to find out if Pilates is right for you during this special time of your life.
