  • Who can practice Pilates?

    Pilates is accessible to most people, regardless of fitness level, so long as they have no contra-indications regarding physical exercise. If in doubt, speak to a physician before beginning lessons.

    The benefits of Pilates are multiple, including increased strength and muscle resistance, increased flexibility, improved posture and breathing. Pilates can benefit casual exercisers as well as professional athletes and dancers. A Pilates programme can be tailored to meet your individual needs and objectives.

  • How do I pay for my Pilates sessions?

    Pay your teacher directly, either by cash or cheque. Some teachers accept payment by credit card, we invite you to enquire with them individually.

  • Can I cancel a reserved session?

    The studio policy is that Private sessions and participation in small group classes may be cancelled with 24 hours notice. Beyond that time the session will be counted as due.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Studio policy is 24 hours notice for private sessions and small group classes. Less than 24 hours notice for cancellation will require full payment for the session.

  • What should I wear to practice Pilates?

    Wear comfortable exercise clothing, such as sweat pants, yoga wear,  or leggings and a t-shirt, but please ensure that clothes are not overly baggy ; your teacher will want to see that you are soliciting the correct muscles to perform the exercises, and clothing which is too ample or bulky will make this more difficult.

  • Is there a shower on site?

    There is no shower at the studio. There is a changing area and lockers for personal items.

  • Can I bring my dog to the studio?

    Pets cannot be accomodated at the studio, we thank you for your understanding.

  • Are Pilates classes for children offered at the studio?

    There are currently no classes for children offered at the studio, but adolescents (13+ years) are welcome.

  • How do I get to the studio?

    The studio is centrally located and easily accessible by metro: St-François-Xavier line 13, Ecole Militaire line 8, or by bus:28, 86, 82, 92

  • Is it easy to park near the studio?

    Generally it is easy to park near the studio, especially during the daytime.

  • Who are the teachers at the studio?

    All the teachers at the studio are highly-experienced professionals certified by recognised Pilates studios, many holding several diplomas and Master Teacher level certificates. Our studio is international with teachers from France, USA, Mexico, and Japan. We are welcome and are able to accommodate an international clientele and offer tuition in several languages.
